Riding a bike, Loosing teeth and Starting Kindergarten!

This kid--born 4 1/2 weeks early has been in a hurry his whole life!  He reminds me every day that he isn't a baby anymore!

All within about 4 days of each other, this boy learned to ride a bike with NO training wheels, lost his first tooth AND started Kindergarten!!  Whew! So many firsts all at once!

One of the perks of living in a small town vs.
country life is the sidewalks! It was hard to learn to ride a bike on a gravel driveway, and so Aiden took full advantage of our nifty little side walk and learned to ride his bike in just a few days!  The boy and his bike were IN-SEPERABLE after that!

And then--without any warning--HE BECAME A KINDERGARTNER!!!  I have to admit, I was a little more sad then he was that he would be starting ALL DAY kindergarten!!

Both Mom and Aiden had a few butterflies the night before, and Dad gave us both a bit of a pep-talk!  Aiden felt much better after a good chat, and we...(he) got a good nights rest!

All smiles the next morning, he was ready to get his Kindergarten career under way!  I managed to get out of his classroom before I broke into tears--its hard to watch him grow up, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

His first day, Dad and Mom drove him the 7 miles to the school--but the 2nd day he was DETERMINED to ride the bus!!!  There is something so exciting to a 5 year old about the school bus!!  I was a basket case, wondering if I should follow the bus to school to make sure he got there!  I like to refer to my paranoia as "first time kinder-mom syndrome!"

After I had gotten pretty comfortable with him riding the bus,  I let him ride his bike to the bus stop--supervised!! I follow him in the car and make sure he gets to the bus stop and then I sneak home! (Its that paranoia again! :))

Just as I was getting used to all the growing up--Aiden lost his first tooth!!!  Another first on our list! With the loss of the first tooth, also comes the first visit from the Tooth Fairy!!  She outdid herself for this first and left money sprinkled with fairy dust!

It helped that Aiden left her a nice note, letting her know the whereabouts of the before mentioned "first tooth!"
