Our first excursion was to Grand Cayman Island, Mexico!
Grand Cayman has the worlds only turtle farm. They have over 600 turtles there, and they owe it all to this beauty! She was the first female turtle in the farm, and after laying over 1300 eggs, she is now in retirement--and deservedly so!!!
We learned a lot about sea turtles--and even got to hold them! Aiden was over-joyed to hold a real live turtle!
Adylin, not so much! It took some coaxing to get her to touch them!
Turtles are SUPER exciting and all--but the kiddos were more interested in the WATER SLIDE!!! (Who wouldn't be when the sun is shining and its HOT!)
Aiden is my little fishy!! He loves to swim and he LOVED the pool!! He must have gone down the slide at least 30 times! Adylin finally decided the water wasn't so bad when Miss Cambree took her in piggy back style!
The locals thought we were pretty nuts because they were freezing! The life guard on duty was in a hoody and we were soaking up the warmth!!
Excuse our white-ness; we are from North Dakota! ;)
I couldn't get over how pretty it was! The palm trees were amazing and it was so warm! Most of us enjoyed the views--while Uncle David enjoyed a nap in the sun! He paid for it later when his not so tan arm got scorched! He missed a spot with his towel covers!
We played the day away and Sas was asleep before we got to the bus! Something about vacation just tires you out! ;)
