Suprise!!
Last saturday was my moms birthday, and my step-dad planned a suprise party for her! It was pretty cute, he called me about 2 weeks ahead and went over all the plans! We all snuck into their house while they were at church, and did the classic "SUPRISE" yell when they walked in the door!

Doug did all the preperations, and even got this cake! I was pretty impressed with his party planning skills....
It was such a nice day, that we decided to have a barbeque and sit out in the sun. They kids loved playing together....and Aidens shirt will NEVER be the same! By the time we were done, he was covered in dirt, sand, popcicles, icecream, and cake frosting!

Monster Trucks
This last Saturday, David and I decided to take Aiden to the Monster Truck show at the Holt Arena. Aiden loves BIG trucks, and so we knew that he would LOVE the show! All day before the we went, he was saying.."Mom..we go see moster trucks now?" I had to keep explaining to him that the show wasn't until night time.
He was so excited when we got there! He had never seen trucks that big, and was in awe by the loud noises that they made!

A BIG thanks to Sarah and Kris for letting us borrow these ear muffy thingies! The trucks were so loud, and Aiden kept saying." Mom...big trucks go GRRRRRR!"
What is a monster truck show without a little popcorn and soda? Despite our very high up seats, I did make the trek down to the consessions stand to get my little man some snacks!

We had so much fun. Aiden kept saying.."Wow! Big trucks crash cars!" Alex and Andrea came with us, and Aiden had fun bouncing laps between the 4 of us. He didn't stay in his own seat very much despite the $17.00 ticket that I bought him!
About half way through the show, they came up into the stands selling these checkered flags. David and I are MAJOR push overs, and bought Aiden one. He spent atleast 30 mins just waving his flag around! It was worth the money to see his little face light up like that!
We left the show about 11:00, and I thought for sure that he would be out cold by the time we left the parking lot....but...the WHOLE way home he was telling us all about the monster trucks! He said.."Moster trucks fwy," "smash carses," ...he chatted all the way home! He was still talking about it the next morning!
I had debated on taking him, because he is a little young, but I am so glad that we did!
Before and After Activites!
Because the weather here has been pretty unpredictable...this post is dedicated to the activites we did BEFORE the weather got nice....and the activites we did AFTER the weather got nice!
I decided to let Aiden try and "finger stamp".....HE LOVED IT!! He had so much fun making a mess with his dirty little hands on purpose!
AFTER the weather warmed up a bit, we decided to venture outside to soak up a little of the sunshine! Mayce joined us, and he and Aiden inspeced the flower beds.
Aiden has been wanting to ride his bike for about a month now. It was fairly difficult with snow drifts and ice on our driveway....now that it is all melted, he wants to ride his bike everyday!
Easter
This Easter post is WAY past due, but we have been prett busy at our house, and it seems like this is the free moment that I have to blog about all the "goings on" at the Belnap house! The "Easter Bunny" always brings Aiden new church clothes...and a few other goodies.
Notice that he didn't really care about the little suit that I SEARCHED for for WEEKS!

"Twains" and a little male bonding.....
Aiden LOVES trains...Thomas and his friends from the Island of Sodor.....he LOVES the TV show, the movie, and the toys! It seems the Daddy has a love for trains as well...or he is just a big push over when Aiden asks to walk down the "Thomas isle" at the store. Usually, Aiden leaves the store with another piece to his train set. Tonight Aiden and David spent some male bonding time, and put all the tracks together.
Aiden wathced and waited patiently while David adjusted the perfect track set-up.
As I mentioned, Aiden has aquired quite a few trains for his collection so far. He knows all of their names, and what color they are.
After we had the track all set up, Aiden insisted that we take a "pitoe" of all of his "twains." From left to right they are...."Emmy" (Emily), "James", "Pewsey"(Percy), "Thomas", "Awfa" (Arthur, who for the first few hours he had him his name was "Itch"), and last is "Wosie" (Rosie).
I am sure that we will be adding frequently to Aidens little collection....they have become GREAT bribing tools, and potty training is beginning to look like it will need some bribery!!
