Christmas this year was a little different for our family! I had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year. It was the first Christmas without my dad, and we were in North Dakota--so not really my idea of a great Christmas!
But--it turns out Christmas was extra special to me this year! My brother and his family came to North Dakota for Christmas too, and I have to say--it was one of the best Christmas' ever! We were able to put our little tree up at an apartment in Plaza. Santa found out where we were planning on being and left us a HAUL!!
My brother and I went on Christmas Eve night and made sure to leave Santa some cookies, and Santa left the kids a thank you note for their gift!:)
Christmas morning we woke our kiddos up at 5:00am--(the Hathaway kiddos were up at 3:30am--just waiting for us!)
We drove to Plaza, where we found stocking stuffed to the brim and LOTS of presents under the tree! The kids were so excited that Santa had found them!!
Aiden got all the things that he had asked Santa for!!
Adylin was a little annoyed with the early morning wake up at first--but as soon as she figured out that the packages all the kids were ripping open contained pretty fun new things!
Uncle David apparently didn't get everything he asked for, so he wanted Aiden's toys and Aiden wasn't going to share!!
We opened presents and then had yummy breakfast before going home for naps!! That was the perfect gift for me!
Christmas ending up being perfect! North Dakota and all!
Aiden played with the kiddos most of the day--I had the stomach flu and spent most of the day lying on the couch!! A not so perfect ending to a pretty perfect day!
