I made the best of my birthday anyway....even though the idea of getting older scares the beejeebers out of me! Davids mom offered to take Aiden for the morning so I could spend some time with my dad! It was nice to be able to just hang out with him for a while. He has been under "quarantine" for the last few weeks, because of a bug called "C-diff" and my doctor advised me not to go in his room at the risk of getting the baby sick. So, I visited from a distance through glass windows until yesterday! He has been taken off of strict quarantine, and while you still have to be extra careful...i.e. mask, gown and gloves......he isn't in solitary anymore and Dr. Lovell cleared me for a visit!
My dad has NEVER missed a year that he hasn't sent me flowers on my birthday. He started back when I was in Jr. High and I don't remember a year that I didn't get them, and I was absolutley SHOCKED when my door bell rang just as I was on my way to the hosptial! The delivery lady handed me a beautiful arrangement and said they were from my dad. I had thought that someone had "reminded" him, or done all the work for him, but when I got to the hospital, he asked if I had gotten my flowers! I told him that some crazy man from the ICU had sent them to me and he laughed! It was nice to see him laugh! As soon as he walked in the door he ran to me and said, "Happy Birthday Mom! We made you a cake and this present in here is a bracelet!" (Ty and Sandra got me a bracelet! haha!)

Looks like a great day. I almost teared up reading about your dad and the flowers. That alone had to have made your day! Happy Birthday!!
Happy late Birthday!! I know how close you are to your Dad and I hope he gets better soon. Daina and I were discussing that even pregnant, you always look cute and dress better than us. :)
