Aiden started pee-wee league soccer a few weeks ago.....can I just say that it has been an interesting experience to say the least!! He is on a team of 3 and 4 year olds, only a few of which have ever played soccer before! While I had hoped that my kid would be a natural.....he is FAR from! None of the kids really have an interest in actually playing soccer at this age.....its more for the "social" side of things I guess!
He has a very patient coach that really tries hard to teach them all the basics of soccer. For the first 30 mins they have "practice" and they learn the do's and don't of the game......the last 30 mins is the "game." All of the kids just run around and chase the soccer ball, rarely kicking it in the right direction! It is pretty funny to watch! The first week, the goalie on Aiden's team laid down in the goalie box! Haha!
Aiden loves going to soccer, and eventually I hope that he learns to play! Until then, he likes to make new friends and gets plenty of excersize!! :)
