We were still on our weekend getaway on Valentines day....I had assumed that David forgot about doing anything because usually we don't do much for Valentines Day. As I was getting the kids ready for bed the night before, I walked into our room and saw these beautiful flowers on the dresser!! I was shocked! David had managed to find roses the day before Valentines Day in the middle of Island Park! It was pretty sweet! He even snuck them in to our room without me seeing them! He got brownie points for sure!
The next morning, I made our traditional Valentine breakfast....pink heart-shaped pancakes with strawberries and whip-creams and of course....pink milk!
Aiden doesn't remember alot about the "smaller" holidays, other than I go all out for breakfast! I try and match the day with whatever we have, just to kick it off!
After breakfast, Aiden got to go find his Valentine!

Later that morning, the boys went out for some sledding! Aiden loved the sledding hill and got the hang of it pretty quick!
Valentines evening we were pretty pathetic as far as the whole "love" holiday goes! Aiden and I made some sugar cookies and then we had our favorite Merrell Family over for pizza and a serious Mario competition!
Although we didn't go out for a fancy dinner....we celebrated with some of the people we love most! Our kids and our great friends!.....Complete with heart shaped pizza! :)
