Day Time Kind of Date

According to Aiden, Mommy's and Daddy's go on 'Night time kind of dates' where they leave the kids at the baby sitter when it is dark outside and they go out and eat by themselves.....Well, Aiden and I went on a 'day time kind of date' where just me and Aiden spent the afternoon together....just the two of us!
Aiden has been pretty easy going about having a new sister, but she does monopolize ALOT of my time. I don't think it bothers Aiden as much as I think it bothers Aiden, but we were both in need of some one-on-one Mommy and Aiden time. I got a sitter for the little Miss and we headed to see Sue the dinosaur at the Museum of Idaho.
Aiden was a little intimidated right at first by the HUGE dinosaur skeleton....I think maybe he was thinking that he might see an actual dinosaur, which to him would have been less scary?? We walked through all of the dinosaur exhibits and made our way to the childrens discovery area. Aiden LOVED the caves and rocks!
We played in the discovery center for almost an hour before we decided we were getting hungry!
Where did Aiden pick to have his day date lunch?? McDonalds of course!!! Complete with Happy Meal and toy!! About half way through his cheese-burger, Aiden stopped eating and said, "Thanks for inviting me on this date Mom, I am having the most fun ever!" Made my day!!
We already have been making plans for our next 'day kind of date!'
