Day 3- Beach Bums!

I think that heaven will be alot like the beach! Monday we decided to make it a beach day! The weather was so nice....about 80 degrees.....in January! California natives were walking around in their long pants, and we were parading around in our swimming suits!!

January 17, 2011- Oceanside Harbor Beach

Aiden was intrigued with the ocean. He would point and say, "Mom, look at that....that is some big water!" He would wait at the shore for the tide to come in and then run and splash, and then do it all again!

The main thing on the agenda for beach day, was building a sand castle! Aiden talked about it for 2 days before the beach, and while we started out with great intentions.....the building process quickly slipped past the attention span of a 3 year old, and just digging was much more fun!

Digging eventually turned into burying....and we all took turns having our legs buried in the sand!

Seagulls, while a bother to the natives....very entertaining to Aiden! He would wait until a whole flock had landed next to us and then run and scream and watch them all fly away at once!

Just to the side of the beach where we were playing, were some large rocks up by the shore. We took a little walk and found some star fish and anenomies. We got to see them up close and even touch them!

After the afternoon at the beach, we decided to go for a swim at the pool! I was just so amazed that were were hanging out at the pool in January!

Aiden showed daddy what he had been learning in swimming lessons, and I relaxed by the pool! I love california!
