The newest member of our family

Introducing: Gunner

This is Gunner, and he is the newest member of our family. I have wanted Aiden to have a pet that actually likes him for a while. Mayce is not the most affectionate animal, and tends to get a little testy with Aiden when he is trying to love on him. Aiden LOVES animals, and is always wanting to pet the puppies we see in the back of pickups while we are driving.

So, for the last few days, I have been kindly prodding David to let us get a dog. This morning, I took Aiden to the Idaho Falls Animal shelter just to look and see what they had. All of the dogs there were older, and I was worried about getting a dog that we really didn't know much about. We left there, kind of discouraged. I decided to stop at Peaches pets store to see if they had any puppies posted for sale on their bulletin board. I noticed a girl walk out with a puppy, and thought, "Hmmm...might as well take a look."

Gunner, as we named him, was the first puppy that I noticed, and was the sweetest thing! Aiden loved him right away, and so we again prodded David, and he reluctantly said ok. We bought our little pal, and headed out to the farm to show David.

David probably won't admit it, but I think he likes Gunner as much as we do! They played on the grass for a while, and then I brought him home to get him settled. He is happy to be here, and seems to like his little house.

Aiden likes to say, "Here Dunner, Dunner!"....we are working on the "G" sound! I am so excited for Aiden to have a buddy!
