I am no expert in the culinary arts for sure....I am not the greatest cook, and my husband will attest to that. I can; however hold my own and make the essentials, but you will never hear me claim to be Martha Stewart!!
Lately I have had to come up with some creative ways to put together meals so that my little picky eater will eat. He has his days...some days he will gobble down whatever I put in front of him, and others he will just stare at it and say "All-done" before he has even had a bite.
Last night we had Hashbrown Tacos...which Aiden usually enjoys. I had it all dished up and he said "All-done" before I had even put the plate in front of him. Frusterated, I quickly devised a plan....this is what I came up with......
.....ta da!! Hashy Face Tacos....something about the way you present food to a 19 month old makes them eat. Aiden managed to gobble up every last bite...aside from the avacado....and then wanted to eat off of my plate. So, if you have a picky eater, or just want a fun, creative dinner idea that doesn't take much time....here is the details.
I used hashbrown patties for the base....taco meat for the hair, olives for eyes, corn for the nose, and an avacado smile for the mouth. EASY!
While I didn't make Davids into a smiley face, he still really liked it! :)

Very creative Melissa! Austin is my picky eater so I'm going to try this technique next time. :)
LOL, that is so cute! Maybe I'll have to try it with Chandler.
