Every Farmer needs a Helper!

As most of you know, we have been trying our luck with "real" farming! We decided this year to plant wheat, and really, the worst part has been the watering. It is flood irrigated, and that means getting up at all hours of the night..and morning...to change the water! Luckily, David and his Dad have been taking turns for the ugly hours of the changing schedule, so neither of them have to do it all of the time! That is the nice thing about being partners!!

Last night David went to change water, and Aiden really wanted to go with his dad! So, when David got back he took Aiden for a spin on the 4-wheeler!

They rode around the yard a few times, and Aiden was quite content! He loves his dad! I can already tell that I am going to have a "mini David" running around here!

After their trip around the yard, the boys had a few minutes of what David said was "Man-to-Man" talk! It was so cute! I love it when David tells Aiden all about his day, and Aiden responds with a bunch of garbled nonscence, that David pretends to understand! What a Dad!!

I've heard farming is hard work but how fun to see Aiden and his dad spend some time together.
