This summer it was decided that REAL Enterprises would invest in a Shaved Ice hut--it would teach the kids responsibility, and how to run a business, and it would help them earn some money.
I don't think any of us were expecting this large of a "hut" but here is our Sno Shizzle Shaved Ice building!
The kids spent a whole day cleaning and getting the flavors organized, and then the Dad's helped hook up the freezer and shaving machine. And then we tried a few (a bunch) just to make sure they were good! ;)
Opening Day the kiddos made over $150!! Makoti folks like them some shaved ice!!
During all the excitement and sugar overload from the Snow Shizzle--Aiden lost ANOTHER tooth!!
The tooth fairy left $5!! There must be something special about those front teeth!!
Before the Snow Shizzle business really took off--we were able to squeeze in a camping trip!! I know I swore that after LIVING in a camper for 8 months that I would NEVER want to own another one--but the camping bug got me!! I really love camping--I just really love the comforts of home too!! So--we get the best of both worlds! Sitting around a smelly campfire and then taking a shower before I crawl into bed!
Our first outing for the season we went to Fort Stevenson national park. It's only about an hour from our house, so it was a nice maiden voyage!
It was the first time camping for both Zoey and Adylin! They both managed to find their niche!
Ady roasted her first s'more, and everyone else ate them!!
Dad proved that he can make the BEST roasted marshmallow! Golden brown all the way around! Mmmmmmm!
These kiddos have a pretty special relationship! They are neighbors, friends, and cousins and they would prefer to spend all their time together!! They love each other! I am always amazed by how they get along!
(Codee was on trek camping somewhere in a tent in Wyoming )
The kiddos talked us old people into going for bike rides on the nature trails around the campground....I am a bit out of shape and I realized that about 10 minutes into the ride!!
After the bike ride, Aiden felt bad for me and decided to roast me an Oreo...it fell off the stick into the fire, but it was the thought that counted!
The kiddos climbed trees, and rode bikes and played, played, played!!
And we ate---ALOT! That's what camping is about, right?
