A Private Island, Space and Another Crazy Flight--(with an ok ending!)

Castaway Cay is Disney's private island and our ship stopped there on our last day!  We happened to run into Olaf--enjoying the SUUUMERRR sunshine! :) 

 Being our last day in the summer sun--I obviously slacked on my picture taking!  I must have been soaking up the sun!  The kids loved playing in the sand, and we managed to add a little more red to our cruise tans!

 

We had a whole day to kill in Florida when we got off the boat, so we decided to visit the Kennedy Space Center. It ended up being one of my most favorite stops! 

 

We got to see the Atlantis space shuttle in person!  It is pretty amazing how many times it has been in space and then there it was for us to see!  It was very cool!

The next morning we were of to the airport headed home!!  All was well until we got right outside of Bismark and the pilot came on the intercom!  "Bad weather in Bismark, we will be turning around and heading back to Minneapolis!"  Yet again--weather ruined our flight plans!! 

What does one do when they are stranded for 2 days in Minneapolis??  You visit the MALL OF AMERICA of course!!! :)  If you have to be on a layover--it may as well be in a place with a HUGE mall!!

 

 These crazy kiddos were all but worn out--and still managed to smile! 

 It did help that we made a stop at Build-a-Bear!  Sassy named her new friend "Rella" and Aiden named his "Tyler"

 We made the very best of a not so great situation and managed to make it home safe and sound!  Of all the amazing things we did and saw, my kiddos still remember the CrAzY flights the most!  Go figure! ;)
