Last week was Aidens first "official" dental visit. He had been several times before with me to my dentist, and they would put in the chair and take him for rides and peek in his mouth just to get him used to the dentist. But this day was his first time at the "kid dentist!" He was more than excited to go because this kid dentist has a train theme in his office! Aiden couldn't wait!
The waiting room had a Thomas the train set to play with and a train station play house. There was also a toy train that traveled aroud the entire office and Aiden was BEYOND excited!!
I was the proudest mommy in the world! Aiden was so good, and did exactly what the hygienist told him to do. She said that she had never had the pleasure of working on such a nice boy! :) I used to work in the dental field before I had kids, and Aiden was the kind of patient I LOVED to work on! Thank heavens!!
He chose bubble-gum flavored tooth paste, and thought that the tooth brush tickled. He was a model patient!
The doctor came in and gave him a quick once over....or so I had wished....turns out MY kid has cavities!!!!! I have never felt like a worse parent!! I have been so conscience of his teeth, and we brush morning and night. But, he is one of the unlucky kids that has not so great teeth!! His enamel is soft, and so he has cavities!! I am so hoping that his permanent teeth are better!!! For now, we will be spending ALOT more time at the dentist!
