Cousin Camp

My sister in law, Rindee and her family do a yearly "Cousin Camp" and this year, they invited Aiden and I to join them! We were thrilled to tag along!! We stayed at Downata Hotsprings, but we drove one day to Lava. I had never been to Lava, and I can now say that I will be back!! Aiden had so much fun!! He was excited to be out of the life jacket from last year, and into his "puffy arm floaties!" He felt like such a big kid!

He started out just hanging by the steps in the very shallow part of the pool, but as the day went on, he got a little braver and ventured further and further out into the deep parts!!

I was perfectly content hanging out on the steps myself! I did however catch a little to many rays of good ole' vitamin D and I am now paying for that with a case of patchy, peeling skin! Yay for me! (Don't mind my gut in this picture....apparently my pregnant belly looks like a beer gut when I swim?)

I eventually talked Aiden into trying out this slide! What I didn't know is that we would spend the next constant hour sliding!! I got so tired, Uncle David had to cut in on the catching part for a while! Aiden kept saying, "One more time, and then 2 more times, and then 4 more times! Ok?" Thank heavens for patient uncles! ;)

Aiden was so tired when we finally left the pool, that he fell asleep with a sucker sticking out of his mouth!! He had worn himself competely out!

The next day we swam and Downata! I also love this place! The kid pool was just what I needed after frying in the sun the day before! The kiddos splashed around in the shallow water, and I sat in the shade!

After they swam, they played at a little spray park for a while!

We could only stay at cousin camp for a few days, but oh the fun we had!! Thanks Rindee and the Gibson family for having us!
