Trip to the Fire Station

My sister-in-law does home preschool with my niece, and they took a field trip to the fire station this week. They invited Aiden and I to come along! Aiden was SO excited when I told him that we were going to see real fire trucks! He couldn't wait to get there! I made the mistake of telling him in the morning.....we didn't go until 2:00...so I had a LONG morning of..."Mom, we go to fire station now?"

Firefighter Ruby showed the kids all of the guages, hoses, and compartments on the fire truck, and told them the difference between a "fire truck" and a "fire engine."

The kids were able to get up inside the fire engine and see how big they were inside. At first, Aiden was a little shy, but as you can see....he warmed right up!

Of course a trip to the fire station is better with buddies! These two are some of Aidens FAVORITE girls!
Aiden has been talking about our trip to the fire station for DAYS! He keeps telling me that he saw a "real fire truck and its color is not red....those were yellow!"

So, thank you Rindee for the fun field trip!!
