Those little things

Last week in Relief Society, the lesson was on the divine role of women, and the importance of being mothers. I had had a particularly stressfull morning with my little man, and so I listened probably more intently then usual.

One of the points that was made, was by a grandmother who said that she wished she had taken better notes while her children were young. Notes about all the silly things they would say, and notes about all of their accomplishments. She suggested keeping a notebook on the counter, and keeping track of all of those things that you may forget.

I have been doing that, and it has made me appreciate the little moments with Aiden, even when it feels like the weather will NEVER warm up so we can get out of the house! Lately I have been texting David all of Aidens little funnies, that way he feels like he isn't missing out too much while he is at work!

I have decided to keep my little journal in my blog, and post about the fun things that I want to remember. Here is a little up date!

The other day we pulled up to the bank, and when the teller asked what she could do for me, Aiden yelled from the back seat. "I want haburger, fweh fwies, and roo beer peese!"

Aiden has been practicing using his manners, and when he forgets to say Please or Thank you I always tell him to use his nice words. The other day, he forgot to say please, so when I said to use nice words he said. "Peez, tank you, welcome." Just to get them all out of the way I guess!

When Aiden hears something he wants us to listen for her says "Hear dat?"

He used to call Macaroni and Cheese "Noonles"...just today he said that he wanted "aroni cheezes" for lunch.

When ever we leave him with a sitter, we tell him to be a good boy. The other night, we left him with his favorite sitter "Koee", and before we got out of the car he said "I know be jood boy!"

When I ask him how much I love him, he says."So much." and when I ask him how long I will love him, he says, "To ever."

I love being Aidens mom! There is nothing better then just getting to be home with him everyday! Even if all we do is fold, and iron laundry and watch Peter Pan, I am lucky to have him!

Aww, that is so sweet. I need to keep track of all the little things too. Thanks for the reminder. Kids do say the cutest and funniest things ever! It is wonderful that you don't take them for granted=0)
