Swimming and a Day out with Thomas

Our original plan for the weekend, was to get up VERY early and drive to Heber City on Monday morning....when we realized just how far Heber City was, we decided to go the night before and "go simming" at a hotel. Aiden was so excited to go swimming, that is all he talked about on the way there! Here is my little studly boy in his "simmer!"

David and I took turns motor boating him around the pool, and he loved it! He especially liked that his buddies, Carson and Kylie were there swimming with him! He liked to watch them swim around the pool in their little swimmies!

Our hotel had a little pull out bed in the couch, so Aiden thought it was pretty cool that he got to sleep on the "touch pulled out!"

This morning was the MAIN EVENT!! Thomas the Train!!! Thomas was just pulling up into the station when we got there! Aiden was so excited! He told us that we were at the Island of Sodor!

They had a few fun activites for the kids to do while they waited to ride the train. Aiden got a Thomas tatoo on his face.....which he refuses to let me wash off! We will see how many days it takes me! Last time I put a sticker on his face, it was 4 days before he would let me wash that spot in the bath tub!

We got to meet Sir. Topham Hat, but Aiden was a little afraid of him! He didn't want to be next to him for a picture. As soon as we were done, he said,"Mommy, I sared by Shirt Top hat!" I told him that Sir. Topham Hat must be nice because Thomas likes him, and he said, "I just hug Thomas!"
Next we got to ride with Thomas! The conductors were all dressed up like real train conductors, and they took everyones tickets. Aiden was so excited to give Mr. Conductor his ticket to ride Thomas!

Aiden thinks that we rode on Annie, which is one of the coaches that Thomas pulls on all the Thomas movies.

Here are my boys waiting for the ride to begin! I think that Aiden looks so much like his dad in this picture!
The whole ride, Aiden was watching out the window! He was very content to just ride and watch!

Since we couldn't ride Percy, Aidens favorite train, a picture by a picture of him was the best we could do! Aiden can name ALL of the trains from the Island of Sodor, and pointed them all out to us!
Our day out with Thomas was so much fun! I think David and I had as much fun watching Aiden get all excited about the idea of being able to see the "real" Thomas, as Aiden did!

We weren't in the car more than 5 mins when Aiden was completely zonked out! All the fun and excitement tuckered him right out!

It was definately worth the trip! a BIG thanks to Kyle and Ashleigh for coming with us! Aiden loves playing with his cousins, and when we got home he was sad that Carson Buddy, and Kylee weren't with us!

So fun! I wanted to take Austin and do that, but never got around to it. Maybe next year.
