Workin' Men!

Warmer weather means work for us. David got up at 6 this morning to get our 60 acre farm fertilized. Aiden had been wathcing out the window all morning saying..."Daddy, tato." (in adult talk...tato is Tractor.)

David took Aiden for a quick spin to see if he would like the farmin' biz, and it looks to me like we have a taker!!

No worries Grandpa....Aiden can plant this year! :)

While taking on the responsiblity of this farm was a HUGE time and financial sacrifice for us and for Davids parents....I am thrilled that my son will get to experience all that this little farm was meant for. My dad used to say that he started his own business to raise boys, I never knew what he meant exactly until I see my little guy growing up. Its funny really the things that start to make sense when you are the parent!

My dad was raised on a farm and after hearing so many stories, I've come to the conclusion that hard work is a great character builder for kids, especially boys. I may have to send Austin out there to help. :)

Amen to that! I'm glad one of those boys is now my husband and was raised that way...because I'm SO PROUD of the man he became! I hope for the same with my kids. Aiden...it looks like you're already "the man of the house"!

How fun! Carson would be in heaven on that tractor! What a great experience for you guys to see what it is like to run a farm! Aiden looks like a natural on the John Deer!
