Battle Scars to be proud of!!

We just got back last night from another trip to Salt Lake! Aiden had a post-op check and he got to get his bandages off!

Sorry about the "graphic" photos...but its hard to show a scar that big without showing a little bum! :)

The doctor said that everything looks great, and the best news is that the pathology on the tumor came back benign! He had what is called a Lypo-Blastoma, which is an "immature" version of what we thought he had. The doctor said if we would have left it in much longer, it could have very well become a very bad thing! While it is not a cancer, there is a much higher rate of return with Blastomas...almost 25%! We have to watch him very close for the next few years, just to make sure that the darn thing doesn't come back!

We feel very, very blessed that things came out the way they did. The doctor himself said that he was shocked to find out that it was a cancer free tumor! He said he has never seen a tumor grow that fast that wasn't cancerous! We owe it all to the amazing friends and family that we had praying for us! Grandma put Aidens name in EVERY temple this side of the mississippi, and we had an amazing number of prayers in our behalf! Thank you to all of you who cared enough to send those prayers our way! We are eternally greatful to all of you!

Yay! No cancer! What a big incision! It is a good thing that kids are so tough and durable. I bet you are all so happy. We will celebrate when we come over there next month!
