I dread Sundays! Really...Our church is at 9:00am, and poor Aiden usually goes down for his morning nap around 9:30....right smack dab in the middle of sacrament meeting! I thought I was doing myself such a favor when I would insist that he nap in his bed. From the day we brought him home from the hospital he has napped in his bed, so now he knows that when you are in bed, you sleep. The down side to that is that he usually doesn't fall asleep anywhere other than a bed! Very rarely will he fall asleep in my arms, so that makes a nap at church next to impossible. Usually, either David or I spend most of the meeting walking in a continuous circle around our church with a fussy, sleep-deprived baby. We have yet to make it through a whole church meeting without having to get up and leave...until yesterday!! Aiden sat through all of Sacrament meeting! No fussing! We kept watching the clock...counting down until the end of the meeting, and just waiting for our "meeting monster" to come out...But...He made it very contently through the whole meeting! We were such proud parents, you would have thought he won an olympic medal!!
Anyway, Sundays are a special day because we have "nuggle naps." That is the only time that Aiden gets to sleep in our bed, and he loves it!! When we get home from church, we have lunch and then lay in our bed for a usually short nap. Mostly Aiden just giggles and plays with our eyelashes, and pats our cheeks for 20 minutes and then falls asleep for 20 minutes. Yesterday, we got into bed and he did his usual giggle time and then fell asleep for 2 and a 1/2 hours! It was a much needed rest for all of us!
Sundays are my favorite day of the week, mostly because David is home with is all day. I love spending time with my boys! I miss David so much in the week when he works long hours, that I am sure he feels smothered when he is home! Yesterday will go down in the record books as just "One Fine Day!"

I know exactly how you feel on Sundays! When Kyle was put in the bishopric, I sometimes thought.....why do I even come to church. I was in the hall for pretty much the entire 3 hours.
The kids do great now! I don't know if there is a good time schedule at church for kids! I am glad yesterday was a good one for you!
I think anyone that has had kids knows exactly how you feel. We've all thought at one point or another why do we even bother coming to church. And it probably won't get any better any time soon cuz as soon as Aiden starts to do really well at church, baby # 2 comes. It's just the way it is. I'm glad that last sunday was such a success. Gotta love those days. :)
OH I totally agree with you about sundays being the best day! I love my sunday nap as well. I usually get all snuggled in on the love sac. I am with Aiden, I am usually out for 2 1/2 hours as well! COngrats on not seeing the meeting monster!!
