It's the little things I love!
At 1:30 this morning, I was awaken to the sound of what seemed a large comotion coming from the baby monitor. I sat up in bed and listened for just a minute. Aiden has been an "all night sleeper" for over 1 month now, and most of the time, if he wakes up, he puts himself right back to sleep. This morning, however, the sounds just kept on going. After about 5 minutes, I decided that I had better go and check it out. I got out of bed and and staggard across the hall; the whole way grumbling to myself about how tired I was. I turned on the lamp and peaked into Aidens crib, and I was greeted with a huge smile and a very loud giggle of delight! The noises I heard were not sad, or mad noises, but loud happy gabbing! I could not help but smile and laugh back! What could he possible think was so funny at 1:30 in the morning? I took a minute and just watched him, thinking to myself how incredibly lucky I am to have such an amazing little spirit in my home. I thought back to the conference talk from the afternoon session of sunday conference, I forget who gave it, but it was about cherishing every moment. That was a moment that I will cherish! I let him jabber for a few more minutes and then we both went back to sleep. Again at 4:00 am I heard the same fun noises coming from Aidens room. One of his little friends from heaven must have had some interesting news for him the couldn't wait! Daina, maybe that means your baby is on his way! HEE HEE! I just sat a listened this time, letting him have his chat! Soon all was quiet again! I love the little things like that! I made a promise to myself very early this morning, that I would pay more atttention to the little things. Its amazing the funny things you notice!
