Funny how things work out....

Our lives have been completely turned upside down the last few months! I have barely had any time to focus on anything other than my dad and getting him better. So, you can imagine the absolute SHOCK when we found out that WE'RE EXPECTING!!! I had to take 3 home tests and go to my doctor to have another one before I would actually believe it!! Friday, March 11, I woke up to my heart pounding crazy out of my chest! I thought I was having a heart attack! I figured that all of the "choatic-ness" of life had finally caught up with me and my heart was going to give out! I called my doctor and he said he thought it could be an anxiety attack.....I could definately see the logic in his thinking. He wanted me to come up that afternoon to maybe see if some medication could help with my looney-ness! I knew that they would probably run a pregnancy test before he put me on any medications, because I was late. I had one in my cupboard, so I figured I would save them the time and me the money of having them run one.... The result was not at all what I expected!! We were PREGNANT!! I called David right away and the first thing he said was, "How did that happen!?" We all know how it happens, but in our case it is a pure miracle! We had been on pretty heavy fertility drugs up until November. I decided that I wanted to be "normal" for the holidays so we decided to take a break for a while. Suprises usually happen that way...when you are LEAST expecting them!! Today was our first ultrasound. We got a picture of our new addition, but it wasn't a great one! Everything looks great and the little heartbeat is strong! We could not be more thrilled and Aiden is so excited to be a big brother!
