This last weekend, my Mom, my 2 brothers and I took a road trip to Lovell, Wyoming! We used to go to Lovell ALL THE TIME as kids...in fact that was usually our yearly vacation spot!
It had been about 15 years since all of us had been back to visit together, and when the opportunity arose for the 4 of us to go back we took it! It meant alot and brought back TONS of memories!! Our family has been through the ringer in the last 15 years, and for us to be able to come from where we have been; to be able to take a "family" vacation together is pretty amazing! I will never forget our trips as a kid to Lovell, but there was something about going back as adults and still feeling like you did when you were kids!
We had a GREAT trip, we talked about life and memories we had growing up, we sang songs that we used to sing on family vacations and we laughed ALOT! When it came time to go home...all of us hesitated! It was always hard for us to leave grandmas house as kids.....it was ALOT harder as adults!
I am so glad that I got to go! I am reminded all of the time that life isn't always fair, and sometimes you get dealt a bad hand....but the people that love you and the people that have impacted your life are what matters! I am so glad that we have ended up in a place that we can go and do things together....because for a while there....it was touch and go!
I have the best brothers in the world! They each have their own speical qualities that I adore about them....I have not laughed so hard in a long time......mostly at Pauls expense, but he hung in there!!! I am lucky to have them! Thanks guys for everything!!!

AWESOME POST!! It sounds like your version of the trip was similiar to David's story. I am SO GLAD ya'll got to go! It was much needed and it helped in a lot of ways. I think even more mending and understanding has occurred. The wounds seem to have healed!
What a great trip. I bet that was a special time. Your grandma is a cute litte thing! It is always fun to go back and visit familiar places. You will have to make a tradition of it!
