Proud to be an American!!

I LOVE the 4th of July! It is my most favorite holiday of the year! This year was alot of fun because Aiden is old enough now to really enjoy all of the Independence Day festivities!
We had a whole week-end full of fun! So, sorry for the picture over-load in this post!!
Friday night we had a cook-out at my moms and Aiden got his first taste of camp-fire cooking.....S'MORES!

Saturday, we kicked of the 4th of July at the Rexburg City parade. My mom lives just up the street from where the parade route began, and so it was nice and convienient to walk from her house to the parade! The best part was that we didn't have to fight crowds or find parking and walk a mile!

After the parade, it was back to grandma and grandpas for swimming and ice-cream....both of which Aiden LOVES!

Later that afternoon, we had another BBQ at our house. Aiden had so much fun swimming at Grandma Ritas, that he decided to climb into our little wading pool....fully clothed!!

After our BBQ we headed into the fire-works......

Irregardless of what you see in this picture, it was so much fun to have my brother here for a holiday. He is out of town alot for work, and he has been gone alot lately. He very rarely makes it to family get-togethers, and so it was an extra special treat to have him here to celebrate with us!I wasn't sure where Aiden picked this up.....NOW I KNOW!

Aiden made it throuh about 20 minutes of the fire-works show, and was out like a light!

I think one of the reasons I love the 4th of July so much is because it is a day that really sit and think about just how lucky I am to have all the freedoms that I have. There is nothing better than sitting around enjoying time with the people that you love, and I am greatful to all of the people who have made that possible for me. I truely am proud to be an AMERICAN!

It was so fun to be at your house for the 4th. I am almost glad that Rindee has kidney stones so we had to stay. I think it is my favorite holiday because of all the kick back family fun. I look forward to it all year. I especially loved little aiden boy. (I know he loves me most). Thanks for everything, I love you guys. David
